PMC 2009: Purple Police look to make difference

(NECN) – The Pan Mass Challenge is in full gear this Saturday morning.

This weekend thousands of riders, volunteers and fans will line the streets from Sturbridge, Massachusetts all the way to Provincetown.

The Pan Mass Challenge looks to raise money for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund.

NECN reporter Scot Yount is following the race from Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School.

Scott had a chance to speak with two of the “Purple Police” who are volunteers that work the Pan Mass Challenge.

Linda and Larry Wise are two members of Purple Police that come together for the PMC riders to help make a difference.
