David Lawson is NECN’s financial wiz – keeping the lights on here and is also the quiet force behind Team NECN. The fundraising party? His mission. Recruiting lazy bums like me to ride? All him. Without Dave, Team NECN wouldn’t be nearly the team it is today.

Dave, I’ll thank you now – because I might be cussing you out something fierce as we pedal into Truro on Day 2.

Here’s Dave’s story:

The 2009 ride will mark my ninth consecutive PMC. Once again, I will cycle 192 miles from Sturbridge to P’Town over the course of two days.

We ride the PMC to raise money for cancer research and treatment at Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Last year, the PMC returned 100% of the 35 million raised back to the Dana-Farber. As always, I ride in memory of my parents, friends and relatives who battled this awful disease. It is a great feeling to be part of a community dedicated to fight and ultimately end cancer.
