(NECN: John Moroney – Bourne, MA) – Saturday morning thousands of bike riders took off from Sturbridge, Massachusetts, one of the starts for the 30th annual Pan Mass Challenge.
The two day, 192-mile journey will take them through dozens of Massachusetts communities.
Riders will stop in Bourne Saturday night and wrap up their ride Sunday in Provincetown.
That’s where we find NECN reporter John Moroney.
John had a chance to speak to some riders and volunteers as they arrived in Bourne.
One of the volunteers John Wysocki stated that it’s the riders that make a difference.
Jacquelyn Chandler has been volunteering for 5 years and was in Bourne to help any way she could
Dr. Richard Shuman is volunteering because a patient of his passed away from Cancer.
Pam Berman is not riding, but feels its important for volunteer to help as much as possible.
