Founder Billy Starr thrilled to see PMC turn 30

Pan-Mass Challenge weekend is upon us. This morning, a team of riders taking part in the 30th annual ride were on hand for the ringing of the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange.
More than 5,000 riders are expected to take part in the ride from Sturbridge, Massachusetts, to Provincetown. Tonight, riders are getting ready for their 200-mile trek.

Tonight at 7:00 on NECN, the Pan-Mass Challenge kickoff show will air. NECN’s RD Sahl and Beth Shelburne are your hosts. Musical guests include Jeffrey Gaines and Sarah Borges.

Billy Starr, PMC founder and executive director, joins NECN for a discussion.

Billy on the 30th anniversary ride – Riders wanted

We’re still months away from the Pan Mass Challenge, much to the relief of my core muscle groups, which need some major retraining.

But even now, there are still possibilities for people who want to give the PMC a shot, and still time to get ready for the ride. Billy Starr stopped by NECN to talk more about the available routes and possibilities for riders.

Bottom line – get on a bike! The only thing you have to fear is personal trainers who think that you really should be able to life that weight one more time. Or maybe that’s just me…
